[Case Study] General bacteria exceeding standard values detected in the water supply line of a food factory.

An incident where the manufacturing line was stopped.

In a food factory, general bacteria exceeding the standard values were detected in the water supply line, leading to a situation where the production line had to be halted, resulting in an urgent request to our company. Upon investigation, it was found that the factory used RO membranes in its water purification system, which removed not only impurities but also residual chlorine, a disinfectant component, creating an environment conducive to bacterial growth and causing blockages due to slime. Therefore, we used a specialized neutral detergent to safely clean everything from the tank to the end of the piping without corroding the internal equipment. As a result, the general bacteria levels were brought within the factory's regulatory standards, and the production line was able to resume operations safely.
